Naples Underground: Standard Entry Ticket
Descend 40 metres beneath Naples and walk through 2,400 years of Greco-Roman history.
Description
Step into the heart of Naples and discover an entire city hidden beneath your feet. With this standard entry ticket you'll access the legendary Napoli Sotterranea archaeological site in the historic centre, where Greek tuff-stone quarries, Roman aqueducts and WWII air-raid shelters share the same dark passages.
Follow the lantern-lit corridors 40 metres below street level and see the cisterns that supplied water to the city for 23 centuries. Marvel at the perfectly preserved Greco-Roman theatre rediscovered under residential apartments, where Emperor Nero is said to have performed.
This ticket is the easiest, most flexible way to experience the underground: simply show your mobile voucher at the entrance on Piazza San Gaetano and join the next available tour slot.
